FKA twigs is taking over Meltdown—not just its headline slot.

She will curate the June 10–20, 2027 festival in London, while a separate Hometown Meltdown project heads to six grassroots venues.

FKA twigs will do more than headline a festival next summer: she will help decide what the audience sees. The singer, dancer and visual artist has been named curator of Meltdown 2027 at London’s Southbank Centre, with the festival scheduled for June 10–20.

The appointment gives her a different kind of platform from an ordinary tour stop. Meltdown places an artist’s taste at the centre of a programme of concerts and performances across the arts centre, allowing the curator’s influences and creative interests to shape the event.

A full programme and ticket on-sale details had not been announced in the reports reviewed for this edition. The confirmed news is the curator, the festival window and the promise of a headline performance—not a complete list of artists or a set of tickets already available to buy.
